The Finding Missions are founded on a deep conviction: there are measures of the presence of God that can only be discovered in serving the poor and the lowly, and there are measures of His heart that can only be experienced when we go low in meekness to serve those who carry burdens we often do not even know exist.

We are ambassadors of Christ wherever we go; our lives are meant to be the message. Different parts of our lives preach different aspects of the Gospel. In missions, our lives proclaim a sacred dimension of the Gospel — one that emphasizes the great selflessness of Jesus, the Cross, and His people.

At The Finding, missions are sacred and holy. They are devoted to loving people by loving Jesus, and loving Jesus by loving people. Our singular goal is to express the love of God to the world beyond the boundaries of the four walls of the church.

Missions are not about vacationing in a new country. They are not about proving something about ourselves on social media. And they certainly are not about our comfort.

Our fair warning is this: our missions are centered on the love, comfort, and encouragement of others. This means our preferences, comforts, and conveniences are laid down in light of the greatest truth — the Cross.
